Abby hails from the east coast – from New Jersey to New York to Connecticut and down to Georgia. She joined the practice in October of 2006 and is thrilled to be starting a life in Utah.
She received her BS in Ecology from the University of Georgia and worked in the environmental field for five years, serving a year in AmeriCorps in Portland, Oregon and then working on an educational and ecological restoration project along the Bronx River in the Bronx, NY.
She decided to follow her original dreams of working with women in health care and received her Masters of Science in nurse-midwifery at the Yale School of Nursing in New Haven, CT in 2006. Abby has clinical experiences of working in high-risk, high-volume obstetrics at Yale New Haven Hospital, at a birthing center in Pittsburgh, PA, and at several international sites, including Ecuador, Oaxaca, Mexico and Sierra Leone.
Abby enjoys being in the outdoors, whether it’s swimming in the ocean, riding her bike, or walking up a mountain. She also loves to garden, sew and read. She is here with her best friend and boyfriend, Mike, who is a mechanical engineer.
Abby feels blessed to be able to work with women throughout their lives, from an early reproductive age through pregnancy and into the menopausal and post-menopausal years. She believes that women can be empowered through the ownership and education of their own birth and health care experiences.
